Bransaveisla: Tengslamyndunafundir með fagaðilum í tónlist
ÚTÓN, Tónlistarborgin Reykjavík og STEF með stuðningi frá Íslandsstofu eru að bjóða til landsins fríðum flokki fagaðila til að taka þátt í ráðstefnu Iceland Airwaves. Af því tilefni viljum bjóða íslenska tónlistarsamfélaginu tækifæri til að tengjast þessum aðilum beint bæði til að styrkja tengslin út á við, en líka til að lyfta eigin verkefnum.
Haldnir verða tengslamyndunarfundir á KEX þann 1. nóvember frá 15-17 þar sem hægt er að sækja um 15 mínútur í ‘speed-dating’ fund, þar sem hægt er að koma á tengslum. Við hvetjum umsækjendur til að nýta þennan stutta tíma vel til að tengjast og koma sínum verkefnum skýrt frá sér. Í þetta sinni er fjölbreyttur hópur fagaðila sem hægt er að hitta, en það er úr öllum hornum tónlistarbransans: útgefendur, umboðsmenn, forleggjarar og fjölmiðlafólk frá Bretlandi, Bandaríkjunum, Spáni og Íslandi.

Brian Lowit
OWNER - Lovitt Records
Brian Lowit is the Label Manager of Dischord Records and the Owner of Lovitt Records both, of which are located in the Washington, DC area.
At Dischord Records, he handles overseeing all the day to day operations of the label as the label manager and does the same for Lovitt Records. Dischord Records has been one of the most influential independent record labels since its inception in 1980. Dischord has released records from some of the most influential bands of the past few decades including Minor Threat and Fugazi.
Brian is a member of the The Recording Academy, a trustee at Guilford College and a board member of the Icelandic Assocation of Washington D.C

In her role as Director of A&R at LAVA Records (UMG), Devon O’Connor brings a holistic approach to advancement in the entertainment industry by incorporating her unique experience into the comprehensive growth & development of the emerging artists on her roster.
Devon most recently signed Mexico-based rock trio The Warning. A graduate of The Wharton School, Devon currently resides in Los Angeles.

Scott Blum is a digital media entrepreneur, award-winning filmmaker, bestselling author and music industry veteran.
Blum is currently the CEO of Found Recordings, an independent record label focusing on the music of Seattle and Iceland. Previously, he was the co-founder and CEO of DailyOM, a popular personal development website that offers inspirational messages and on-line courses; was VP of Research and Development for the music industry pioneer, ARTISTdirect; was CEO and founder of iMusic, one of the first music websites in the 1990's and digital collaborator with popular artists including Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, The Offspring, The Smashing Pumpkins and others.

She shares her expertise by volunteering with global organizations to educate musicians.
Inga Magnes Weisshappel

Inga Magnes is a composer, music editor, music publisher and music supervisor who is deeply embedded in the worlds of film and music. She has been involved in the creation of numerous scores for movies and television, including Katla, Deliver Us, Against the Ice and most recently, Touch.
As well as being involved with score production, Inga has actively been expanding the position of music supervision in Iceland and placing it on a global playing field.
As a music supervisor, Inga is responsible for overseeing all music related aspects of a film or television project, from licensing to maintaining cue sheets, with projects such as Black Beach and Natatorium.
Additionally, in 2022 Inga launched the music publishing office Wise Music Iceland in collaboration with international music publisher Wise Music Group. Today, Inga runs the day-to-day business of Wise Music Iceland while simultaneously continuing her work as both music supervisor and music editor

Originally a singer/songwriter, Sarah lends this background to her work and as a means to connect creatively.
Jonathan Pearson

Jonathan Pearson is an Irish arts professional based in Los Angeles. He is the founder and director of Islander, one of Ireland's premiere artist management companies. Islander also produce a host of arts festivals and one-off artistic projects around the world.
Jon is a core member of INNI, an Icelandic music company based in Reykjavík, founded by renowned film composer Atli Örvarsson, Colm O’Herlihy and Willie Ryan.
