Árið 2009 var Frakkland fimmta stærsti markaður í tónlistarheiminum. Ólíkt öðrum löndum, sem voru með hátíð tileinkað bæði fagfólki og almenningi - South By Southwest í Austin í Bandaríkjunum, The Great Escape í Brighton á Englandi eða Eurosonic í Groeningen í Hollandi...– Frakkland var ekki með einn. Þeir vildu laga það. Þetta er nú málið.

Á hverju ári síðan eru meira en 130 listamenn / hópar frá öllum heimshornum kynntir í 3 daga í um tíu sölum og merkum stöðum í Pigalle-Montmartre hverfinu fyrir framan áhorfendur sem samanstanda af frönskum alþjóðlegir sérfræðingar (6.400 viðurkenndir fagmenn frá 56 löndum og 600 blaðamenn) og meira en 5.800 hátíðargestir.

In 2009 France was the 5th world market in terms of music and, unlike other countries which had a festival dedicated to both professionals and the public – South By Southwest in Austin in the United States, The Great Escape in Brighton in England or Eurosonic in Groeningen in the Netherlands…– France did not have one. They wanted to fix it. This is now the case.

Each year since then, more than 130 artists / groups from all over the world are presented for 3 days in around ten halls and emblematic places in the Pigalle-Montmartre district, from 60 to 1,400 seats in front of an audience made up of French and international professionals (6,400 accredited pros from 56 countries and 600 journalists) and more than 5,800 festival-goers.
